The objective of the internship is to develop a Power BI dashboard for quarterly sustainability reporting. The dashboard will use standardised data exports from the Tagetik reporting system covering: Carbon, Energy, Water, Waste and Purchased goods.

The data files will be added to a designated folder each quarter and should be imported into the dashboard through a clear and repeatable process. The dashboard should provide consolidated and site-level reporting, with filters for sites, reporting periods and relevant data categories. It should be easy to use and accessible to a small group of key sustainability and business stakeholders. Particular attention will be required for purchased-goods data due to the larger complexity of information.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and understand the structure of the Tagetik sustainability data;
• Prepare, clean and model the data in Power BI;
• Develop reporting views for carbon, energy, water, waste and purchased goods;
• Create filters by site, reporting period and data category;
• Set up a repeatable process for importing quarterly data files;
• Test the dashboard and validate the reported results;
• Gather feedback from key users and improve the dashboard;
• Document the data structure, update process and key calculations;
• Prepare basic user instructions;
• Present and hand over the final dashboard to the sustainability team.

The ideal candidate has:

• Experience with or a strong interest in Power BI;

• Basic knowledge of Power Query and DAX;

• Good data analysis and data-management skills;

• Strong Excel skills;

• A structured and accurate way of working;

• The ability to work independently and turn requirements into practical solutions;

• Good communication skills in English;

• An interest in sustainability or environmental reporting is beneficial.
