your challenge

This role is pivotal in driving commercial success, improving customer engagement, and ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Leading design services, pricing excellence, CRM, and downstream marketing, this role ensures seamless collaboration between sales, marketing, and operations to enhance customer experience, maximize revenue, and improve market positioning. Additionally, the role requires fostering a data-driven, customer-centric approach in a dynamic, competitive market. The Director of Sales Operations reports to the Chief Commercial Officer EMEA.

Success in this position demands strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of sales processes to develop and implement strategies that drive sustainable growth and reinforce the company’s position as a leader in piping systems.

your key responsibilities

Sales Operations & Strategy Execution
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance sales effectiveness and streamline operations.
• Align sales processes, tools, and analytics to drive efficiency and improve customer engagement.

Pricing Excellence & Revenue Optimization
• Lead pricing strategy, governance, and execution to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
• Implement data-driven pricing models and discount structures to support revenue growth.

CRM & Sales Enablement
• Oversee CRM strategy, implementation and optimization to enhance sales productivity.
• Drive CRM adoption, training, and best practices to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.

Downstream Marketing & Demand Generation
• Align marketing initiatives with sales goals to enhance lead generation and conversion.
• Ensure that marketing campaigns, content, and tools effectively support sales efforts.

Design Services & Technical Support
• Lead the Design Services function to provide technical support and design solutions for customers.
• Strengthen relationships with customers by offering value-added design expertise.

Performance Analytics & KPI Deployment
• Define and monitor key sales performance metrics (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and optimize decision-making.
• Use data-driven insights to refine sales strategies, improve forecasting, and enhance overall performance.

Process Improvement & Scalability
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Standardize best practices across regions to ensure consistency.
• Leverage technology and automation to optimize sales workflows and reduce manual effort.

qualification/requirements

Besides being attracted to the Aalberts story and our values, we ask the following requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, or Business Development, preferably in the manufacturing, industrial, or B2B sector.
• Experience leading sales processes, CRM systems, pricing strategies, and demand generation initiatives. (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Familiarity with piping systems, building materials, or technical products is a plus.
• Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting.
• Knowledge of pricing models, discount structures, and profitability analysis.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in driving change.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Ability to improve customer engagement through value-driven solutions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Results-driven, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Adaptable to change and transformation in a dynamic business environment.
